WHY AYF?
AYF was established in 1996. American Youth Football and Cheerleading has 8 Regions, they are the: Pacific, Desert Mountain, Mid-West, Southwest, Big-East, Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast. It grows nationally every year at a rate of 15%.
Colonial League has nearly doubled in size in one year. Shelton AYF was the 1st football program to allow every child to participate in town regardless of size.
AYF opened in Shelton in 2009. Shelton AYF is well established going into its 4th season.
The Colonial League after 1 year will be "giving back " to its members! Each member will receive funds to further their program. Other local tackle football leagues do not fund or assist their local program.
AYF has national rules and allows local leagues to manage in accordance to its member's needs. AYF creates more opportunities for fair play.

AYF has strict scholastic requirements . We recognize outstanding scholastic achievement locally and nationally.

AYF Championships are held at Austin Tindal Park in Orlando, FL and the National Cheer Championships are held at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimee, FL.
Our accommodations are on Disney property.
AYF has national all-star teams that attend our championships to expand our youth experiences.
AYC has added another division of competition from Novice to Advanced.
Shelton AYF registration fees are commensurate with its' operating expenses.We offer financial assistance openly. Our equipment is certified.We are a complete volunteer organization. We are a registered non-profit under the National AYF umbrella. Our financials are available to the public. We pride ourselves on being the only complete transparent tackle football league in town.
